This week we have Ms. Lucy.
Lucy has three brothers and a couple of parents.
She enjoys chick flicks and long walks on the beach.  She went snowboarding last week on Valentines Day which can be very romantic.
Her favorite TV shows are the Office and 30 Rock and she has red hair. Here is a picture of her:

Is she scared? Surprised? Nervous? We don't know.
Here's another picture of her:

Cute. Very cute. Okay. Now for the interview.  Lucy and I did this via facebook so please, bear with us.

Lucy.
Yes.
Can I interview you for the reader of the week?
Ya.
Right now?
K.
Thanks.
You're welcome.
Okay. How old are you?
12, 13 on sunday
Wow. Happy Birthday. What are you doing for your birthday?
I don't know yet
Why don't you have a dance party or something.
I should.
Totally. Okay, so what is the first book you ever read?
Do not open
I don't know that one. I'll have to look it up

*did look it up and this is what I found? Is this the right book? I don't know. I'll have to consult Lucy. In the meantime, this looks an awful lot like The Monster at the End of the Book which I happen to have memorized.
What is your favorite book?
Twilight
Ah yes, Twilight. So why is it your favorite?
I like the lovey dovey and intense feelings.
So Edward or Jacob?
Both of them have different qualities. Edward has over-protectness which is hot, and Jacob is down to earth and a handyman
So which one would you pick?
Edward
So Team Edward.

Yep.
Did you like the movie?
Not at all, way to many slow-mos and very cheesy
So what is your second favorite book?

Don't look behind you
Oh. It looks good. Is it scary?
Yes. It's about a family having to change idenites because the father is secretly in the FBI and someone threatened their family
K. what's the best thing about junior high?
I like art
What kind of art?
They do mostly sketching.
Is that your favorite kind of art?
I like sketching but I really like doing weird crafts (lucy is currently making a weird springtime hat in her private art lesson--maybe she'll let me post a picture when it's done).
Okay, what's the worst thing about junior high?
Homework
Yeah. I agree. Okay. Almost done. What is your favorite food?
Spaghetti.
Really? Interesting. What's your least favorite food and what's your favorite song on Rock Band?
Shepherd's pie and "Everlong" by the foo fighters.
That's interesting about the pie. A previous ROTW said Shepherd's pie was his favorite food. Hot or cold on that dish, I see. Okay. Last two questions. Who is the cutest guy and what do you have to tell people about reading.
Nick Zano

He has ragged hotness.
(please don't be alarmed that when Lucy said Nick Zano I thought she was talking about Billy Zane from the Titanic and I was surprised but thought hey, good for him.  (see below). I had to ask Lucy who Nick Zano was and apparently he's in a show called "What I Like About You" not the Titanic which came out when I was in high school and maybe when Lucy was an infant. Sorry Billy Zane.)

And finally, do you like to read and why? What do you want to say about reading?
Yes I love to read. it takes me away from the real world; the reading is much more interesting

Thank you Lucy. if you have any additional questions for Lucy or if you want to concur with her cutest guy assesment, go on ahead. I'll have her check in this week. That's all for today.
