I am delighted to relate to you a very interesting conversation I had with Ms. Grace Charlotte. Grace is eight years old. I’m eight and a half. Sorry,
eight and a half. And she likes to swim. Because just so you know, “If
you swim a lot it’s like good exercise and you get like healthy and
strong.” This is a direct quote from Grace who is not only a swimmer,
but a book LOVER. I’m serious. I was blown away. Completely. You’ll see
what I mean. And here she is!

First of all, why do I always read articles like this? Second, you all know the Lady Cavemen won the Utah state tourney, right?

I
know you know it--it was all over the news, the blogs, the billboards.
Heck, they were even escorted into town by fire trucks and other loud
cars. I know because I was there. Sitting in awesome seats that kept
making my nose bleed. It was worth it because these girls can play some
basketball.
Anyway, this week's Reader of the Week is one of
the stars of the team. Her name is Amy and she is seventeen and she is
a star three point shooter and she is quite nice once you get to know
her. Actually she's nice even when you don't know her. For the most part. I know Amy sort of because my sister is an assistant coach. Here's a picture of them together.
 Cute. Anyway,
Amy grew up in Utah and likes to play basketball (duh), go boating, and
do just about anything active. So, without further ado, here's Amy!

This week we have Ms. Lucy. Lucy has three brothers and a couple of parents. She
enjoys chick flicks and long walks on the beach. She went snowboarding
last week on Valentines Day which can be very romantic. Her favorite TV shows are the Office and 30 Rock and she has red hair. Here is a picture of her:
Is she scared? Surprised? Nervous? We don't know. Here's another picture of her:

Cute. Very cute. Okay. Now for the interview. Lucy and I did this via facebook so please, bear with us. |

Hello Lovelies.
Happy Valentines and all that.
 In
honor of the season, I decided that this week's reader of the week
should be my Valentine. Isn't that cute? Thanks. We met on a blind
date--an incredibly awkward, weird, and surprising blind date. Six
years and two kids later, we are still a little awkward, weird and
surprising. You'll see what I mean.
So, without further ado, I present, this guy:

Yay! The return of the Reader of the Week. Whoa, baby, am I excited. I
like doing these interviews for a lot of reasons: I like readers, I am
a reader, I like getting to know people on a deeper, more readerly
level, and last but not least, because it's, ummmmm, fun.
This
week's reader of the week is my friend Brooke. Brooke and I have been
acquaintances for many years due to our mutual friend (and her
sister-in-law) Kathy.
I have always admired Brooke's quiet confidence and impeccable style.
She's modest, smart, and funny. Just recently we've gotten to know each
other better through blogs and such (thank you, internet) and I am
excited to let you get to know her too! And so . . . here we go.
First off, here's Brooke:
See what I mean? Now for the interview . . .

Today is an extremely special day because
the reader of week this time around is actually a non-reader who is
quite interesting and one of my favorite people and has already agreed to possibly continue our
discussion at a later date. I actually interviewed him on Christmas day
(sorry people--I know, it's been awhile)--I'd type the questions and
he'd verbally answer so keep that in mind as you read.
Here is his picture:

This is a nice boy. He also happens to be this week's reader of the week. His name is Ben. Ben's six. He can beat you at a bum war on his trampoline. Maybe. Now let's begin. |

It’s that time again. Today’s reader of the week is a beautiful young lady named Sabreena. Sabreena is 10 years old,
likes the show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, enjoys hanging out with her
friends and dabbles in acting here and there. |

Yeah! It's time for the second installment of the reader of the week. Today I am pleased to introduce Ms. Holly:
Holly is a lovely lady who is not intimidated by the store Forever 21. She one time wore a Rainbow Brite nightgown for days on end and she
sold security systems door to door for one day once. I'll let her tell
the rest.

A long time ago I promised to start
reader interviews. Finally, after much sweat and hardship, the first
interview is in and I am very excited to present my good friend JAMES
as our first featured reader. James is 11 years old (almost 12 in
December), plays a mean Zelda
The Legend of Zelda is widely considered one of the most influential video game series in history, along with Mario, Pokémon, and Metroid. The series consists of fourteen official games across multiple platforms as well as several spin-offs. Most games in the series have been met with critical acclaim and commercial success. As of October 2007, The Legend of Zelda series has sold over 47 million copies in total worldwide. The series has expanded into merchandise including electronic and plush toys and has also been adapted into a cartoon, manga and comics series.
, and spends over an hour (sometimes it's
like an hour and forty five minutes) every day reading. I hope you
enjoy your time with James as much as I did. Let the games begin. |
